For the usual, conventional and mathematical meaning of a "perfect" number, as I have said before :-) please see answer no. 34 However, since so many of you seem to be asking this question (and thus maybe at least to some degree unsatisfied with that answer) let me add the following: To my mind the only "perfect" numbers are zero (aleph 1) and infinity (aleph 0) - the only two infinities [and even then maybe aleph 0 doesn't count as a single "number"]. Please note, however that this latter interpretation would be somewhat unconventional. Thus, for example, when Douglas Adams pronounced the answer to life, the universe and everything to be 42, he should perhaps, really, have said 0 (zero)!
